Mirra Dustmacher

Mirra Dustmacher portrait

Mirra Dustmacher was a high school teacher who decided to "get away from those TikTok addicted, entitled monsters" and pursue her life's dream of being a sculptor.

Her dream was realized when she met her husband, a miner, who was able to supply her with the raw materials she needed to create her elegant, sleek, geometric sculptures.

Her career took a brief setback when the press created a scandal with the headline "High School Teacher Marries Minor." After a successful defamation lawsuit, her reputation was cleared, forcing the press to print her essay, "I Married a Miner, Not a Minor, You Idiots."

The financial settlement she received enabled her to create a state-of-the-art sculpture studio in her hometown of New Haven, Connecticut, where she produces approximately one sculpture a year.

Jennifer Haas is honored to have a selection of Mirra Dustmacher's sculptures but warns, "You scratch it, you bought it."
